I’m a soon-to-be-no-longer-independent content strategist and writer based in London, soon to be based in Dublin.

In the past, I’ve worked with companies, nonprofits and agencies to help them create, maintain and get the most out of their content on the web and everywhere else.

Soon, I’ll be going to work with the Irish company Intercom as their first product content strategist. That means I’ll work on the function of words and communication within the design of the product. As Intercom exists to improve communication, this is quite exciting.

Occasionally I speak about content strategy in public. Officially, but also incidentally.

I’ll next be speaking at Re:base, a new conference about design, in Dublin from September 29-October 1, 2015. Here’s an interview I did for the conference blog.

Tickets are still available and are quite cheap: the code MCGUANE should still give you a small discount.
